Polish presidential election is over, but the true political drama is just starting. The political context is clear: the ruling coalition barely won the 2023 parliamentary election and this election was supposed to be both a validation of their rule and an enabler.
The victory of Trzaskowski would allow them to pass all the bills they want, not caring about the presidential veto. But it didn’t happen. Nawrocki won. And now the political opposition of Tusk smells blood.
First stop: the confidence vote tomorrow.
